Did you know that Audubon is 100% Smoke-Free and Tobacco-Free in Public Places?
On August 15, 2017, Audubon adopted ordinance 2017-04, banning smoking in all public parks and recreation facilities owned or leased by the Borough of Audubon.
This ordinance will both reduce air pollution and litter. The smoke itself needs no explanation, but there is also the litter from non biodegradable cigarette butts that get thrown in the street and ultimately carried into waterways. They are also dangerous to animals or little humans that might try to ingest them.
