In June, Sustainable Audubon created a Monarch Waystation at Audubon Family Park. A Monarch Waystation attracts monarch butterflies with milkweed and nectar plants. The garden is certified by Monarch Watch. The plants in the garden include common milkweed, butterfly milkweed, chokeberry, coneflowers, coreopsis, fringed bleeding heart, Joe Pye weed, liatris, bee balm and Goldenrod. There is also a Community mural created on the shed. These gardens were created for the enjoyment and education of our community. Please come visit the park and check out this garden and the rain garden as well as getting your wings and taking a pic by the mural.
